  • What’s your name?
  • Christopher Michael Delaney
  • What do you do?
  • I don't do that anymore... but sometimes I places images together on peoples skin with a sharp needle and ink, sometimes images on blockbuster video rentals, sometimes cocktail napkins, or rearrange sounds, with a banjo or anything else that makes noise
  • What makes you unstable?
  • Its getting hot in here...literally.....well, i guess if i WERE unstable, it would probably be because my brain dont work soo good no how...(kidding?) maybe its the ability to pursue unsavory ideas that originate in my head and bringing them to fruition in 3d.....like the thought of punching your sweet 70 year old grandmother in the nose....just because it was within reach of your fist, or jumping off a 3 story roof onto a car, because you saw a stuntman do it once, or lighting unsuspecting people(s) on fire because it SEEMS like a good idea at the time....probably because i sometimes act on thoughts most people would think twice about doing.....but i have never done any of these...i promise.....call it 'compulsive creativity?".....all action is born in thought
  • What makes you go?
  • new things make me go...new experiences....old ideas that i havent experienced and am currently experiencing ...learning...that crazy background noise that you hear while huffing paint or whip-its....THE TRUTH....God....the power of the human mind....sex...money...enlightenment....and my personal favorite, FUN.
  • What makes you stop?
  • negativity makes me stop...my own negativity and other peoples....indifference....depression....divine interference(s)...this question
  • Describe your other?
  • My other is about 6 feet tall and is a renaissance man ...the egg we shared began to separate about 35 years ago, but we've been together most of our lives and shared similar life experiences....we may occupy separate spaces, currently, but can sometimes still possibly occupy the same brain
  • Animals?
  • Animals are good...they teach us how to love like Jesus...i have 3 in my employ, currently....1 Mississippi map turtle, and 2 red eared sliders
  • Go Ahead Rant for me...
  • you are surrounded by loving machines, hating machines, greedy machines, unselfish machines, brave machines, cowardly machines, truthful machines, lying machines, funny machines, and solemn machines. Their only purpose is to stir you up in every conceivable way , so the Creator of the Universe can watch your reactions. They can no more feel  or reason than grandfather clocks. The Creator of the Universe would now like to apologize not only for the capricious, jostling companionship he provided during the last test, but for the trashy stinking condition of the planet itself. The Creator programmed robots to abuse it for millions of years, so it would be a poisonous, festering cheese when you got here. Also, He made sure it would be desperately crowded by programming robots, regardless of the living conditions, to crave sexual intercourse and adore infants more than almost anything. Now that i have your undivided attention, i will attempt to illustrate to you the essence of "Fundamentally Unstable"....with just a slight rearrangement of those characters,  you will see " Fun..Mentally..Unstable ", which , I think , is pretty much self explanatory....that it is, in fact, FUN to be mentally unstable....Society, of course, would have you believe the complete opposite, as it puts so much stock in stability....9-5 jobs, weekend warriors, super bowl Sunday, monogamous relationships, 3 square meals a day, and white presidents (and white bread)...To the precise extent that we permit  'stability' ,do our very lives become boring, useless vacuums, trying to wrest enjoyment out of  whatever scraps fall off the  table...Our very spirit is crushed and souls sucked cleanly from our terrestrial shells....we are born into a harsh and cruel world, with a million billion year  old instinct to survive ...to hunt, to find shelter and procreate...yet as our technologies advance, these instincts are satisfied by the push of a microwave button, or a remote control telephonic email  is sent to Dominoes to purchase a frozen pizza with a plastic debit card and delivered straight to your pre fabricated house where you hungrily wait in your home medics recliner with optional heat and massage and consumed in front of your high definition plasma screen TV while watching images that reinforce that you aren't good enough, smart enough, handsome enough, fast enough, rich enough, skinny enough, secure enough, or everything enough....so our less instinctual drives ...ie.. the drive for comfort  become our sole pathetic quest....what happened to original thought? dreams? The answer is that it was crushed  by someone who thought they knew you better than you know yourself...We  humans are born with  a curiosity and a drive to be individual and to create, but free thinking breeds contempt.... and fear ..."He (The Creator) also programmed robots to write books and magazines and newspapers for you, and television and radio shows, and stage shows, and films. They wrote songs for you. The Creator of the Universe had them invent hundreds of religions, so you would have plenty to choose among. He had them kill each other by the millions, for this purpose only: that you be amazed. They have committed every possible atrocity and every possible kindness unfeelingly, automatically, inevitably, to get a reaction from Y - O - U .....Every time you went into the library, The Creator of the Universe held his breath. With such a higgledy-piggledy cultural smorgasbord before you, what would you, with your free will, choose?  Your parents were fighting machines and self pitying machines...Your mother was programmed to bawl out your father for being a defective money making machine, and your father was programmed to bawl her out for being a defective housekeeping machine. They were programmed to bawl each other out for being defective loving machines. Then your father was programmed to stomp out of the house and slam the door. This automatically turned your mother into a weeping machine. And your father  would go down to a tavern where he would get drunk with some other drinking machines. Then all the drinking machines would go to a whorehouse and rent fucking machines. And then your father would drag himself home to become an apologizing machine. And your mother would  become a very slow forgiving machine."...and so on...if any of this is confusing, its all to your benefit...your normal thinking has been disrupted just long enough for me to insert this one idea into your consciousness...

  • Spawn?
  • I haven't got to that part of the book yet.
  • Inspiration?
  • Kurt Vonnegut .....breakfast of champions...read it now....i paraphrased it in my rant....he is fundamentally unstable as well....and Salvador Dali...he was once invited to give a dissertation at some high falllutin university in Europe..he was much acclaimed at that time already and the event was greatly anticipated.....Salvador arrived wearing a divers wetsuit and diving helmet and gave the entire lecture with the helmet on , which made it extremely difficult to understand anything he said....and he used to drive a car that was full of cauliflower
  • Where can we see your stuff?
  • You can see my stuff on under achievers through out NJ and the continental united states....I have a Myspace page....im not sure of the address, though...i just tell people to Google ' Chris Delaney Tattoo "  or ' Almighty Ink Tattoo ' , or some combination of those words, and you will find it...As far as paintings, there are a few floating around, im not sure who has them, but theyre around.....i have never really liked the restrictions of painting on canvas, or the impermanence...i prefer to paint on walls and things that cannot be moved easily...
  • Draw me the way you see me…
